The list of nasty stuff that Norton removed was impressive. I tried MacAfee, and a number of other web programs like HiJackthis, SDfix, and Catchme. Norton however did the trick and found and successfully removed, MANY ugly programs including:
Adware Mirar, several Trogan Horses, Trogan.Vundo, Garntet, Spyguard 2008, Backdoor Graybird, Downloader, and MANY more. I used to thing all Virus scans were the same. Not any more. What was even more impressive was it did them all with the 15 day trial license. I really like the fact they help you out without forcing you to pay up front. A clean computer was proof the product was worth it. I was just about ready to re-install the OS, but Norton saved me.

I think the reason the other reviewer couldn't get this to install in Windows is that this is just Anti Virus 11.0 for Mac. The dual protection version has a big sticker on the box that says 'Dual Protection'

i began using norton internet security earlier this year..so far its done a excellent job of protecting the three computers i have it on...i really enjoy that it updates frequently..my daughters computer has been protected from several trogans that norton stopped and removed before they did damage.

This is strong software. Full protection against spyware, phishing and viruses. Better yet, it's easy to use, fast and doesn't get in the way of getting things done. I've used other internet security software that would just bring my Mac to a halt when it was scanning files. With Norton, I don't see any slowdown.

This is indeed just for the Mac side.

BTW, VmWare Fusion comes with a one year subscription for McAfee anti-virus for PC.
