Great so far! Does NOT Slow my system down! May 26, 2008
By Mark Mills I have had N*RT0N Security Suit for years and it slowed my computer down considerably. In the past 3 years N*RT0N stopped 1 virus and let 3 viruses through. They were NOT new viruses either. 2 of the viruses that got through had been in my virus definitions for over a year. Sooo why was I paying N*RT0N to slow down my system and NOT STOP OLD VIRUSES? (I ended up having to reformat my hard drive and start from scratch with 2 of the viruses)
Enter my new Vista OS Laptop:
I was unhappy with my old antivirus software and did some digging around online looking for something better. That is how I ran across Live OneCare. Who better to protect my CPU than the guys who designed the Operating System? I went for the Live OneCare. It was an easy install and is designed to be compatable with the windows Fire Wall and Defender that is already in the computers operating system. It has been 6 months now and so far so good. My CPU runs as fast as it was designed to.
As for catching and containing viruses I do not know how it will do yet, but it could hardly do worse than N*RT0N did.
I have ordered Live OneCare for my old XP Pro laptop now too.

Security Software Oct 18, 2008

This is a review of Windows Live One Care, security software I use with Vista and XP. I mention the two OS since the purchase price included the use of the software on THREE (3) PCs!
I have used Live OneCare since it was included in the Vista package I started using last January. Excellent use of covering all security needs, Backups, Tuneups. Puts my previous dependence on Norton to shame.Windows Live OneCare 2.0 (Up to 3 Users)
Amazon price was EXCELLENT! (New at $21.99) 5 Star recommendation for price and quality. ed

Imagine $25 for protection of up to 3 computer! I had difficulty installing the software into my 2nd computer, so I had an online chat with technical support. When that proved to be inadequate, I had a phone chat with the support, who took control of my computer and installed the software.

Inexpensive and non-intrusive Oct 04, 2008
By AlienLogic This product works just as the retail version does. Once installed it will update itself to version 2.5(or higher versions in the future). Both my laptop and desktop boot faster with OneCare as oposed to Norton Antivirus, and have not had a virus infect either system yet. The other features of this product are programs that are already part of windows XP(firewall, backup). The online updates occur in the background and do not require much CPU usage. The scan times seem on par with Norton. Easy to install, and remove if necessary. You can get the free 90 day trial on the Microsoft website first before you buy!

By R. Sturdivant This progam runs in the back ground with little or no interuptions. Much better than Norton in my opinion and I'm on my second year.
