BEWARE: 2 year life span Mar 05, 2010 We have had this for 2 years and the motherboard has already died. It is not reasonably replaceable by HP or local repair shops due to HP proprietary hardware, and now we have a very expensive paperweight. After researching our problem, we have discovered that many other users are getting a 3 year or under lifespan. We can't even use the monitor even though nothing is wrong with it. If you want an all-in-one computer that will last, buy an IMac. You can even watch T.V. on it using a firewire cable.
great family pc Feb 13, 2010 We have had one of these on the bar in our kitchen as a family pc for a while now. Our 5 year old uses the touch screen more than anybody else. It works well as a tv (hooked up to cable) the media center dvr is ok, but unimpressive compared to our Tivo... also plays dvds fullscreen pretty well. I use it to remote into my home office pc and it works well and keeps me from walking upstairs all the time... LOL I love the way the keyboard slides into a slot on the underside front of the case, completely out of the way. The newer models don't have this feature... We put ours on a lazy susan so we can turn it to watch TV from any side of the bar. I am amazed at how much use we get out of it. Cons:Touch screen needs cleaning! I wish it had a faster CPU (ours has the TL-54), it does ok, but it feels like a laptop performance-wise. I'm sure you know what I mean... Also you have to keep an eye on the hard drive space, the dvr can fill it up and then it drags the harddrive performance down... I would not want this for my personal or only pc, way too slow for me, but it rocks as our kitchen TV/PC. If it dies, were getting another one!!!

Love, Love, Love HP Touchsmart IQ504 Aug 01, 2008 Are you kidding me? What's not to love? This is a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S computer. I've probably purchased 10 or more computers in the past 5 years and this is my hands down favorite. Easy set up, incredible screen, doesn't take much desk space and it is LIGHTNING fast. I paid more than double this price for a top of the line Dell CPU only no screen or keyboard. I wish I could trade that for two of these! It's so much faster. It feels and looks so different from a "normal" computer and there is nothing under the desk to bump my knee on. LOVE THAT. I spend 10 hours or more a day on the computer for work so this is just a treat. I'm not one to write reviews but this computer is worth telling people about. I love everything about it and think everyone should own one. Hey HP will ya' send me another one for free if I spread the word?????
I too had some initial problems with downloading new programs and a couple of kinks to work out including losing the sound control on the monitor. It all turned out to be issues with VISTA not the computer and a super friendly tech stayed on the phone with me for two hours to resolve everything with updates and such.
I'm watching the reviews from previous customers and hoping my keyboard doesn't go kaput. I have a newer version that just came out IQ501
The only thing that could make this better is if it had a Keurig coffee maker built in. Now that would be the ultimate machine!

great computer but......... Mar 29, 2008 I bought my HP last December and fell in love with it until a few days later when the keyboard started to act up. As I was typing it started missing letters or just froze. I put up with it until last month and then called HP and told them I hated the keyboard and mouse because of the intermitent way it was working. They express shipped a new keyboard and mouse to me and this one seems to be working better, although every once in a while when I move the keyboard it goes back to missing letters. The photo printer sits right behind the screen, saving space on my desk. A great looking computer, and I can even comes with a remote to watch TV. Everyone raves about the look and loves it when they come by.

Nice to look at, not worth the price... Jan 25, 2008 I have owned the HP IQ770 for over six months and use it as my main PC. My intial issues were related to using the installed Vista operating system... but for better or worse, Vista is here to stay.
Now back to HP IQ770. It does a fair job, though I feel it is slow for a pc in this price range. The multicard reader failed about two months ago, dead and not servicable or accessable by the user. The DVD/CD burner is unreliable; sometimes not 'seeing' CD's or DVD's I loaded in it. The DVD/CD drive has jammed on occassion and refused to eject my disk. There is no access to this drive, either should it quit. There are no outputs for a second monitor; would be nice in the event of failure of the 'built-in' monitor. No HDMI, DVI, parallel, or serial ports you can NOT expand the stock system. You can not add a PCI card.
The HP IQ770 does have a "WOW" factor due to its unique and very nice appearance... after that you will find it a very mediocre PC.
